In 2016, Singapore’s Changi Airport was named the best airport in the world for a fourth year in a row at Skytrax’s World Airport Awards and here are some of the reasons why.

For those who have at least a 5.5– 6 hour layover in Singapore, Changi Airport offers Free Singapore Tours: The Heritage Tour and the City sights Tour. These guided tours go for 2.5 hours each and run at different times of the day.
A large nine metre tall interactive installation - made up of eight touch-screen photo booths and a giant middle made up of 64 42” HD TVs- the Social Tree allows you to share and store your video and photo memories and share them to your social networks. The Airport will store this media for years to come thus allowing passengers to become part of the airport’s history.
Every garden lover’s dream. The Sunflower Garden is comprised of many types of sunflowers grown in Changi Airport’s own nursery. At night it is illuminated with special lighting.
Changi Airport offers free screenings of the latest films at their Airport Movie Theatre open 24 hours daily.
Fancy a swim? At the Airport? This cool rooftop pool is the perfect place to chill out and relax. It even has a poolside bar if you feel like ordering drinks or light refreshments.
PRO TIP: If you’re flying with Singapore Airlines, SilkAir or Air New Zealand and transiting through Changi, just head to the service counter at Changi Airport and you can receive a Changi Dollar Voucher valued from 20 SGD to spend at the airport on food, clothing, alcohol or perfumes.
