THE US AND UK WILL NOW BAN LARGE CARRY-ON DEVICES FROM SOME AFRICAN AND MIDDLE EASTERN COUNTRIES

The ban will affect travellers flying to the US and the UK from countries such as Turkey, Egypt, Jordan and more.

US REGULATIONS:

This ban will affect passengers flying to the US from the following airports:

Istanbul, Turkey

Cairo, Egypt

Kuwait City, Kuwait

Doha, Qatar

Casablanca, Morocco

Amman, Jordan

Dubai and Abu Dhabi in United Arab Emirates

Riyadh and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Airlines have until Friday 24 March to implement the ban which will prohibit passengers from bringing devices such as: cameras, DVD players, electronic games, tablets and laptops in their carry-on luggage

UK REGULATIONS:

This ban will affect passengers flying direct to the UK from:

Turkey

Saudi Arabia

Tunisia

Lebanon

Jordan

Egypt

This ban is effective immediately and bans passengers from bringing any device larger than a smartphone in their carry-on luggage

We advise all travellers travelling to the US or UK through any of these hubs to check luggage requirements with your airline prior to travel.
