Opened in 2014 by expert Japanese mixologist Shingo Gokan, Speak Low is a world renowned speakeasy located in Shanghai. Named the 2nd Best Bar in Asia and the World's 15th Best Bar in the World in 2016, Speak Low has made waves across the world's cocktail scene. Named after the cocktail Gokan used to win the Bacardi Global Legacy Cocktail Competition, the founder himself is no amateur having previously worked the helm at the famous Angel's Share Bar in New York.

The location of the bar is notoriously difficult to find in an unassuming, quite neighbourhood in Shanghai between the InterContinental Shanghai Ruijin and Fuxing Park. Everything about this multi-storied establishment is shrouded in mystery and secrecy as the bar itself is hidden within 'Fuxing Zhong Lu Bar Tools' shop.

Hint: To access the hidden bar we recommend going to do a bit of reading within the tool shop.

Once you enter, be prepared to be enchanted and transported into a different world, a certain homage to old Shanghai.
