Opened in 2010, Restaurant Andre, named one of the Top 50 Best Restaurants in the World, is housed in a three-storey building in Singapore’s Chinatown. The 2 Michelin Star restaurant is the brainchild of multilingual Chef Andre Chiang who has successfully brought his modern Southern French influences into the Asian market. This creative venture of Chiang’s doesn’t offer starters or main meals but holds the conviction that each dish is important in its own right.

Chiang implements his ‘Octaphilosophy’ which is his belief that his cooking can be represented in 8 elements and the restaurant’s ever changing, seasonal menu always incorporates the freshest ingredients that Chiang can get his hands on. Advance bookings are always recommended due to the fact that the restaurant closes every time Chiang is out of the country.
The restaurant can either be visited for a 5 or 8 course lunch or for an ‘Octaphilosophy’ dinner and it can only accommodate 30 patrons at a time. Restaurant Andre is definitely worth a visit if you’re interested in a carefully crafted and unique fine dining experience.
