DOMESTIC BUSINESS CLASS LOUNGE TO OPEN AT BRISBANE AIRPORT NEXT MONTH
On Saturday March 11, Qantas will be unveiling its new Business Class lounge at Brisbane's Domestic Terminal. The opening will be yet another an exciting addition for Brisbane which saw the Qantas International Business Lounge open in recent months.
ACQUIRE PROGRAM REBRANDED AS QANTAS BUSINESS REWARDS
Qantas' Acquire program has now evolved into Qantas Business Rewards. The loyalty program is aimed at small to medium sized businesses and allows the opportunity to earn Qantas from the very first dollar spent and offers three levels of membership. This program will mean that when employees fly on Qantas, they will be able to earn their business Qantas points as well as their own individual Frequent Flyer points.
NETFLIX, FOXTEL AND SPOTIFY ADDED TO ONBOARD WI-FI OFFERING
When travellers log onto Qantas' new onboard Wi-Fi (through their own device), they will see the option to access Netflix, Spotify and Foxtel on the landing page. Although the three companies are paid services, they will allow free access to Qantas travellers. Foxtel will allow three days of free access on its app, Netflix will offer 30-day free trial access (if travellers are not already members) and Spotify will offer a 30-day free Premium trial.
QANTAS PLAN A380 FLEET SEAT UPGRADE
Qantas have announced a seat upgrade on their A380 fleet to a similar standard of seat to its 787-9 fleet in economy, premium economy and business class which travellers can 'expect over (the) next year or so.'
NEW PERTH INTERNATIONAL LOUNGE TO OPEN IN 2018
Qantas have announced that they will be opening their new Perth international lounge in 2018 to serve their non-stop flights between Perth and London on their Boeing 787 flights. The lounge, which will include an outdoor area, will be located in Terminal 3 and be open to eligible business class travellers and frequent flyers.
NEW 787 PREMIUM ECONOMY CABIN UNVEILED
In October this year, the new 787 premium economy cabin will come online on Qantas' Boeing 787-9s. The cabin will feature more space and a 10% increase in its seat width. The cabin will consist of 28 seats and it be a 2-3-2 configuration. For entertainment, the screens will be 25% larger, there will be two USB ports per seat, five compartments for storage, a new ergonomic head rest and shared power points.
